As Legal Counsel, you will help ensure that these collaborations are legally sound, practical and\u00a0future-proof. You will play a key role in enabling Hartwig to grow in a scalable and compliant way within the complex intersection of healthcare,\u00a0data\u00a0and technology.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You will join a small, collaborative legal team with a broad scope of responsibilities, including commercial contracting, corporate governance, regulatory\u00a0compliance\u00a0and data law. You will advise colleagues across the organisation, support strategic partnerships and innovation projects, and coordinate external legal counsel where\u00a0appropriate. Your responsibilities\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n- Draft,\u00a0review\u00a0and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements with national and international partners, including diagnostic services agreements, SaaS agreements, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), collaboration agreements, procurement\u00a0contracts\u00a0and data sharing agreements.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Develop,\u00a0implement\u00a0and\u00a0maintain\u00a0contract templates, model clauses and legal standards that support scalability and operational efficiency.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Advise business units and cross-functional teams on legal matters relating to compliance, strategic\u00a0partnerships\u00a0and research & development projects.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Support the implementation of new legislation and regulations, including the GDPR and European legislation such as the AI Act, translating legal requirements into practical policies and business processes.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Draft,\u00a0update\u00a0and\u00a0maintain\u00a0internal policies, legal procedures,\u00a0registers\u00a0and quality standards.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Coordinate and manage external legal advisors where specialised expertise is\u00a0required.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Support governance and compliance activities in an international environment and proactively\u00a0identify\u00a0and mitigate legal risks.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
About you\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n- Approximately 4\u20136 years of relevant experience as a lawyer in private practice or as an in-house Legal Counsel.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Solid experience in commercial contract law and supporting business collaborations, preferably within a technology-driven environment.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Experience advising on compliance matters and translating legislation into practical business guidance.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Experience with IT, software and\/or SaaS agreements is a strong advantage.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Knowledge of, or affinity with, the GDPR, the EU AI Act and the legal protection of health data is highly desirable.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
