DR-485 Mapping MSK-IMPACT genetic insights to large scale genomic and transcriptomic events in breast cancer

No Featured Image set

Molecular alterations occurring at the genomic level represent the mainstay process promoting breast cancer development. In this context, at Memorial Sloan Kettering, we have previously uncovered recurrent mutagenic processes underlying breast cancer progression, which led us to the discovery of therapeutic strategies targeting key mechanisms of resistance. Building on this, this project aims to investigate the association between recurrent mutagenic patterns identified using our FDA-cleared, tumor-normal MSK-IMPACT assay with large-scale, whole-genome sequencing genomic events. Furthermore, we seek to integrate genomic and transcriptomic phenotypes to uncover additional mechanistic processes driving breast cancer development and evolution.
