DR-312 Comparison of the somatic mutational landscape of metastatic breast cancer studies
Metastases are the leading cause of mortality in breast cancer patients. The tumor acquires specific mutations that drive the tumor’s development into metastases. These mutations impact disease progression and can interfere with the efficacy of treatment strategies. To get a better understanding of how mutations influence the treatment response, the IMPACT study (IMaging PAtients for Cancer drug selecTion) recruited 200 patients with metastatic breast cancer. By comparing the mutational landscape of other cohorts to the IMPACT study, we can ensure that our results are not based solely on our patient selection.
