DR-395 Predicting the landscape and dynamic of cancer drivers from cancer initiation to metastasis
Cancer initiation and progression are a result of acquiring alterations in genes that confer a selective advantage to the cell (cancer drivers). Even though an extensive repertoire of cancer drivers is available, we still fail to understand how many altered cancer drivers are acquired from cancer initiation to metastasis. We aim to predict the number and identity of cancer drivers in each patient across a pan-cancer cohort of primary and metastatic tumours with matched genomic and transcriptomic data using machine-learning based tools. Analysis across different tumour stages will give us insights into the dynamics of cancer drivers during cancer progression.
