DR-404 PRIME-ROSE
The PRIME-ROSE project (Precision Cancer Medicine Repurposing System Using Pragmatic Clinical Trials) is a European initiative to make targeted therapies—originally intended for other types of cancer but sharing the same cancer cell characteristics—accessible in Europe and to test their effectiveness. This is a follow-up project to the successful DRUP study (Drug Rediscovery Protocol). For some combinations of cancer types with cancer cell characteristics, only a few patients are treated. To measure effectiveness nonetheless, the results of the same European DRUP studies from different countries are combined. Additionally, we use Hartwig data to obtain comparison measures for the handful of treated patients. This allows for the effectiveness of a therapy to still be measured.
