DR-433 Comparative flux balance analysis of metabolic networks in metastases across multiple cancer types
Tumours often exhibit different metabolic features than non-cancerous tissue. However, studying metabolism in patients has technical limitations that hold back its use for patient care. Novel computational techniques however can overcome some of these constraints and one such technique is called Flux Balance Analysis (FBA) that can be used to identify relevant metabolic features and dependencies for different patient tumour samples. This information will help to provide accurate diagnosis and novel targets for more effective anti-cancer treatment.
