DR-456 Developing a Foundation Model for Cancer Genomes

No Featured Image set

Mutations in the DNA of cells are the base for cancer formation. We plan to develop an artificial intelligence tool that learns the patterns of these genetic changes from whole-genome and RNA sequences in the Hartwig Medical Foundation dataset. By analyzing mutation and transcriptome data , the tool will predict important clinical outcomes – such as diagnosis, cancer subtype, patient survival, and treatment response. Ultimately, this approach aims to support more personalized and effective cancer care for patients.
