DR-448 Determinants of treatment-induced mutagenesis in cancer

No Featured Image set

Platinum drugs, including the most frequently used cisplatin, cause mutations in the genome, thereby contributing to the evolution of resistance and formation of secondary tumours. In this work we will correlate tumour mutational spectra with expression levels of DNA repair, replication and checkpoint genes and treatment history. Revealing the determinants of mutagenecity will allow for the estimation of mutagenic risks of the selected treatments in different tissues and patients.
