DR-455 Identifying novel targets for cancer treatment
We aim to identify novel targets for cancer treatment. (1) We will assess whether biomarkers for immunotherapy outcome in melanoma, breast cancer and urothelial cancer are also present in other cancer types, aiming to set up a clinical trial with checkpoint inhibition in these cancer types. (2) We will study whether cancers with specific aberrations such as mutations or amplifications harbor other genomic or transcriptomic aberrations to which treatment can be directed. (3) We will scrutinize intratumoral metabolic pathways of both drugs and endogenous substances to improve our understanding of intratumoral metabolism and to possibly use it for treatment personalization.
