DR-480 Biomarker and Pattern Discovery and Validation
When analysing genomic, transcriptomic, epigenetic and clinical data from cancer patients, response to treatment can be related to the occurrence of mutations in DNA or aberrant expression of genes. These relationships can be investigated and potentially inform the discovery of predictive (i.e., they provide information on the usability of a certain drug in a patient) and prognostic (i.e., they provide information on the future course of the disease of a given patient) biomarkers.
